BTE Handelsverband Textil Schuhe Lederwaren
As a federal trade association, the BTE represents the interests of the German textile, shoe and leather goods retail trade vis-à-vis political decision-makers, suppliers, trade fairs, fashion centres, consumer associations and other interest groups.
It carries out industry-related groundwork, helps to solve technical problems, promotes professional training and further education, provides all kinds of specialist information, clarifies fundamental issues with market partners and is a dialogue partner for legislators and authorities. The BTE is also involved in standardisation committees on topics such as e-commerce, RFID and electronic business transactions (EDI).
European DIY Retail Association (EDRA) / Global Home Improvement Network (GHIN)
The European DIY Retail Association/Global Home Improvement Network (EDRA/GHIN) is the voice of the home improvement industry across the world. The two associations represent the entire spectrum of the DIY & home improvement industry, from local corner shops, digital players, and big box retailers.
Today EDRA/GHIN represents 222 home improvement companies operating over 33,250 stores in 77 countries.
Handelsverband Hessen e.V.
As the representative of the retail and service companies in Hesse, the trade association is the central interface to politics, political parties, trade unions, the public, cities and municipalities as an industry and employers' association. It represents the interests of Hesse‘s retail sector and our 7,200 member companies with 200,000 employees.
The Handelsverband Hessen e.V. is geared to making the trade fit for the future and to giving its members a significant time, price and/or competitive advantage, e.g. through labour and social law advice and representation in court and many trade-related service.
